Report or ask for guidanceWe expect staff, coaches, pilots, volunteers, athletes, parents, guardians and visitors to treat others with dignity and follow club rules, codes of conduct and reasonable safety instructions.
Safeguarding concerns should be recorded accurately, handled confidentially on a need-to-know basis and escalated without unnecessary delay. Retaliation against a person who raises a genuine concern is not acceptable.
Recruitment, role assignment, supervision, transport, photography, messaging and one-to-one contact should be planned with appropriate safeguards, especially where children or adults at risk are involved.
The club may suspend participation or access while a concern is assessed. Serious matters may be referred to relevant governing bodies, medical professionals, child-protection services, police or other competent authorities.
